Leesburg Tea Party: A Letter to The Editor

The following was provided by the organizer of the Leesburg Tea Party, Micheal Sabot:

I haven’t been involved in a protest since I was in High School in the 60’s

But I am so angry and scared about where our country is going and what I see happening in Washington today, that something has to be done. Politicians don’t listen to one person, but they do listen to groups.

In more than 1000 communities across the country Tea Party protests are being organized. I am organizing a Tax Day Tea Party to be held April 15 from 5 – 7 pm at the Leesburg court house.
This is a protest to Big government out of control, Spending, Bailouts, Taxes, Debit out of Control.

Price of admission is 1 tea bag per person. All proceeds are to be hand delivered to Senator Johnny Isakson at his speech on April 17 in Albany.

As I told my sister last week, when you wake-up next year, and your eclectic bill goes from $70 to $300 a month for some global warming carbon tax, you get what you deserve.

  2. Love the admission fee schedule. It’s definitely accurate for what my young son will deal with thanks to the wreckless spending in Washington.
